Orlando Science Schools Accreditation and Announcements

Orlando Science Schools has been recommended to be accredited by AdvancED / SACS-CASI accreditation agency. The Quality Assurance Review Team visited on November 30th and December 1st, 2010 and met with governing board members, administrators, teachers, students, parents and community members. The team was extremely impressed with OSS’s progressive views on education, especially in the departments of Math and Science. This accreditation ensures that our students are receiving the highest quality of instruction and OSS hopes to continuously ensure that students are consistently challenged to succeed academically. This is the latest accomplishment of Orlando Science School. We are so excited to announce the many things that our school and students are achieving that we decided to start a blog to keep everyone informed. Please follow us as we continue to excel in education.

December 12th, several of our students attended a Science Olympiad Invitational in Atlanta. We received  2nd  place. There was also a basketball tournament on Saturday that was held in our gym. We hosted Grace Member Schools. There was a Lego League competition as well.

Since this is our first blog, we should mention a few things about our school. We are an A+ charter school located in Orlando, Florida. At Orlando Science Schools, we strive to provide a challenging educational environment specializing in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math. We have developed a hands on approach that has proven itself to help students excel in all areas including reading, language arts and physical education. There are also a wide variety of extracaricular activities and community service events available for all students who wish to participate.
